Bible Study Verse Deut 11:18-19 - Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them Thoughts Have you ever tied a hook or lure to your fishing line with a poor knot? Have you ever felt the need to check a knot that has been working? I had a large $10 spoon on my line one day. When I tied it on I wondered if it was a good knot. I tugged on it a couple of times and it felt okay. After a couple of casts I decided it must be okay so I didn’t check it again but just kept casting. My lure sailed out over the wide river with distance like I had never gotten before. It was then I noticed my line, instead of whistling out over the river, was slowly drifting to the river's surface. Always wet the line with some saliva before you pull it tight on the hook or lure. It strengthens the line and sets the knot, saving you a lot of lost lures.
